Here is the Icelandic song for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest this year. The singers are a well known pop figures in Iceland. The video is shot in the Icelandic nature and is lovely. It touches up on the elves tradition in Iceland. The name of the song is “Mundu eftir mér” – english: You remember me. Great video from Iceland. So natural and beautifully shot by Daniel. It is amazing how these people in Iceland live and how they seem to enjoy life – and in harmony with nature and all the power over there. Believing in alfs seem to be normal for them – even if it is impossible to capture these creators on camera or other documentation. I could just as well believe in whales or not! I also recommend people to go for a whale watching tour and ask questions such as: Where are the northern lights.

Frank Hvams from the infamous TV series Klovn. A tv sitcom made in Denmark. He just loves Iceland and is really inspired by the nation. I have watch the Klovn series for long time in Icelandic TV and it is just hilarious. One of my faovrite shows and somehow Frank Hvams just delivers the role perfectly. It is somehow so realistic and natural how much of a Klovn he is and how he interact with other actors in the sitcom. In this video Retro Stefson is playing music in the lovely Fljotshlid that is close to the area of Eyjafjallajokull. They are a young band but already well known in Iceland for great music. In this video they are playing on top of a old bridge. It is a great scenery in the nature in Iceland. Something different and fresh to watch. I would love to see them playing live in such a surrounding – and maybe having the northern lights playing in the heaven. That would be so great. This video is part of a larger promotion campaign done by the Islandsstofa and shows Rene Redzepi that is a chef and co-owner of Noma – the two-Michelin star restaurant in Denmark. It was one of the best restaurants in the world as reviewed by San Pellegriono Awards. He is known for making great food of course but also for being very innovative on the Nordic cuisine and promoting northern lights holidays. The promotional campaign was done because of the large potential drop of visitors to Iceland after the world famous Eyjafjallajökull erupted in 2009. However his name isnt so easy to say – Þórgnýr Thoroddsen – but as he is so great at knitting he makes up for the difficult name.
